英文摘要 | Planning and scheduling is a key factor to the success of a construction project. Because of the increasing complexity and size of construction projects nowadays, pre-construction schedules tend to comprise a large number of activities. These schedules often contain unintentional errors and conflicts, and those due to the lack of experience. These mistakes need to be corrected by experienced schedulers. However, due to the number of activities involved, sometimes the mistakes are hard to find. This research establishes a generalized schedule knowledge representation model for an integration of rule-based and case-based reasoning. The model allows a detailed representation of scheduling knowledge captured from previous successful projects. A computer system, named ScheduleCoach, was also developed based on this generalized model to help schedule reviewers review pre-construction schedules. ScheduleCoach can identify potential errors in a schedule, explain why its critiques are, and possibly suggest appropriate corrections based on rule-based and case-based reasoning. |
