英文摘要 | This article discusses the American fashion market. It begins with an induction of the meaning of fashion and its classification: explaining the American fashion market by giving definitions and examples of its company types, apparel categories, look classifications, price points, market segmentations, selling seasons, size ranges, fit standards, competitions, and types of retail stores. To further explain the fashion industry, the article goes on to give definitions of design, sales and production of apparel fashion products. It explains the design process, main design criteria, line/ collection, design room personnel and design costing. To explain what sales is, a general definition with line releases and a sales effort introduction including company owned showroom, sales representatives, regiooal markets, market weeks, trade shows and corporate selling are discussed. For the production phrase, the general definition as well as in-depth explaining of pre-production, production and the way of how to choose a good contractor are introduced. |
