中文摘要 | 通識教育是培養學生全人格不可或缺的一環。自1993年《大學法》通過後,大學通識教育的推展,獲得了正面的定位。通識教育是以人為對象的教育。這種教育,不但是科技知識的訓練,而且也是人文素養的陶融。因此,數千年來,西西教育部以人文主義思想為主流。第二次世界大戰結束後,人文教育更普遍受到各國的重視。基於吾人對於全人教育的決心,對於通識教育的關切,我們認為人文教育的規劃,應從更寬廣的角度去發展,才有可能創造成果,實現理想。 |
英文摘要 | The general education is indispensable in the development of healthy personality and sound characters. Since the pass of the University Bill in 1993, the development of general education in college level has been receiving positive feedback. General education is people-oriented. The objectives of such education are to integrate science technology and humanities. Therefore, humanism has been the mainstream of education in both the West and the East in the past thousands of years. After World War II, humanity education has received more attention all over the world Based upon our resolution to educate our students as whole persons and our concern about the quality of general education, we think that humanity education should be designed and planned from a wider perspective. We will be able to realize our dream by doing so. |
