英文摘要 | The Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) phase 2 with dominated voice service has been successfully migrated to the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), one of major activity of GSM phase 2+. The purpose of GPRS is to provide data service that are bursty in nature by sharing the radio resource efficiently. In order to accomplish the evolution from circuit switching to packet switching with the highest data rate to 172kbps, the revolution of the radio interface is a challenge. This paper presents the radio features and functions for GPRS from the point of view of the radio interface protocol in each layer that can be a good basis for the optimization of the Base Station system in GPRS. |
