病人血型之頻率為 A 型 29.8%、B 型 34.0%、 AB 型 11.7% 及 O 型 24.5%; 對照組為 A 型 31.9%、B 型 21.3%、AB 型 7.4% 及 O 型 39.4%。 |
英文摘要 | Background and purpose:Many studies on Caucasians have reported a relationship between ABO blood group and vascular thrombosis. Such findings are rarely reported in Taiwan inhabitants. The aim of this study was to investigate the associaton of the ABO blood group with venous thrombosis in the Taiwan population. Methods:Consecuitve patients with venous thrombosis unrelated to malignancy, myeloproliferative disorder, liver disease, renal disease, surgery and pregnancy were recruited. Apparently healthy subjects without any history of vascular thrombosis were selected at random and matched to the patients for sex and age. The ABO blood group was determined in all subjects using an isoagglutination method. Logistic regression was used to assess the risk of thrombosis and to calculate the odds ratio (OR) with a 95% confidence interval (CI). Results: A total of 94 patients and 94 controls were investigated. The age distribution was not different between these two groups (P=0.895) . The frequencies of blood groups A, B, AB and O were 29.8%, 34.0%, 11.7%, and 24.5%, respectively, among patients, whereas they were 31.9%, 21.3%, 7.4% and 39.4%, respectively, among controls. the frequency of blood group non-O was higher in the patient group than that in the control group (P=0.031). Blood group non-O was associated with a two-fold increased risk of venous thrombosis when compared with blood group O (OR, 2.03; 95% CI, 1.08-3.82). Of blood group non-O, blood group B was associated with the highest risk of venous thrombosis (OR, 2.64; 95% CI, 1.22-5.74). Conclusion:ABO blood group is associated with venous thrombosis. Blood group non-O may be a potential and common risk factor for venous thrombosis in Taiwan. |
