中文摘要 | 英語文師資培育(English as Foreign Language Teacher-Preparation Program)非常重要(Gebhard, 1996)。因為國小英語文教學是否成功,端賴英語文師資培育是否成功。在這篇文章裏,作者對此做了一些建議。對英語文師資培育,作者建議:1、一般學科以淺化英語教授(sheltered English),2、以美國兒童文學為主的英文課,3、電腦輔助教學(CALL),4、交換學生計畫,5、專業課程。對公立國小,作者建議:1、每日十五分鐘英語課,2、強化一般學科的英語課(Content-Enriched FLES), 3、採用真實教材(authentic material),4、蒙發式讀寫觀點,5、提昇早期讀寫教育之策略,6、電腦輔助教學(CAI),7、表現評量(Performance Assessment)。 |
英文摘要 | The EFL (English as Foreign Language) Teacher-Preparation Program (EFLTPP) is very important (Gebhard, 1996). Whether the teaching of English in elementary schools is successful or not all depends on whether the EFL Teacher Preparation Program is successful. In this article, the author makes some suggestions for both EFLTPP and public elementary schools in Taiwan. For EFLTPP, the suggestions include the following: 1. sheltered English class, 2. literature-based course, 3. computer-assisted language learning (CALL), 4. student exchange program, 5. professional courses. For public elementary schools, the suggestions embrace the following: 1. fifteen-minute daily lessons, 2. content-enriched FLES, 3. use of authentic materials, 4. emergent literacy perspective, 5. classroom strategies to promote early literacy, 6. computer-aided instruction (CAI), 7. performance assessment. |
