中文摘要 | 《四書》是中國文化中最重要的經典,在歷代的大學教育中備受重視。然而,《四書》教學,在解嚴前雖然受到重視,卻因政治力的介入而遭到扭曲;解嚴後則逐漸邊緣化,近年來的本土思潮,又有極濃的「去中國化」傾向,《四書》幾乎到了學者輕視、學子厭棄的地步。然而,另一方面,近年來各大學極力提倡的通識教育,欲培養學生博雅的眼界,人文的關懷、生命的尊重,其實都可以和《四書》的教學結合。因此,《四書》教學的前景雖然荊棘遍佈,又何嘗不是轉機的最佳時刻。本論文的寫作是基於個人的教學經驗,提出個人在教學上的實踐成果與遭遇困難,希望能拋磚引玉,讓更多人關心《四書》在大學教育的重要性,也希望人文的關懷、開闊的視野能真正落實於臺灣這塊土地上。 |
英文摘要 | The Four Books have been regarded as the eternal classics and received great respect in university education throughout Chinese history. In Taiwan, the teaching of Four in university education throughout Chinese history. In Taiwan, the teaching of four books, on the one hand, had been highly valued before the lifting of martial law, but on the other hand, the teaching seemed to be distorted by political interference. In the post martial law era, Four book instruction has been marginalized due to the surging wave of localization and anti-Chinese sentiment. Consequently, the Four Books have been discarded by many scholars and students. However, general education on open-mindedness, humanistic love, and respect for life has been promoted in many universities, and, in fact, the goal of general education can be integrated with the teaching of the Four Books. Thus, although the future Four Books instruction is uncertain, today may be the best time to turn it around. This paper is based on personal teaching experience and aims to share the results and difficulties on teaching the Four Books. It intends to offer a few general remarks so that others may come up with valuable responses and pay more attention to the importance of the “Four Books” in university education. |
