中文摘要 | 本研究將沃斯回火熱處理( Austempering heat treatment )應用在灰鑄鐵( Gray cast iron ), 目的在於探討此處理程序改變基地組織對於灰鑄鐵之破裂韌性影響。 本研究之熱處理製程,先將材料經 900 ℃沃斯田鐵化 1.5 小時,然後再作沃斯回火熱處, 分別淬火至 300 ℃╱ 3 小時及 360 ℃╱ 2 小時, 以得到下沃斯肥粒鐵( Lower Ausferrite )以及上沃斯肥粒鐵( Upper Ausferrite )等兩種不同的基地組織。 另外, 在淬火 360 ℃ 8 分鐘然後再淬到 300 ℃ 172 分鐘的混成沃斯回火熱處理,則可得到上下 沃斯肥粒鐵的混成組織。結果的顯示與一般認為片狀石墨型態主宰了灰鑄鐵所有性質之觀念 ,有顯著的不同;鑄造態及經上述三種的沃斯回火熱處理後之平面應力破裂韌性值( plane stress fracture toughness ),分別為 12.7、16.3、24.1 及 26.7MPa √ m; 基地組織 的改變使得其平面應力破裂韌性值較鑄造態分別增加了 28 %、 90 %及 11 %。 |
英文摘要 | Austempering heat treatment was applied to gray cast iron in order to study the effect of matrix toughening on fracture mechanics behavior of it. The material was austenitized at 900 ℃ for 1.5hours and then austempered at 300 ℃ /3hours or 360 ℃ /2hours so as to obtain different matrix morphology, lower ausferrite or upper ausferrite. A mixed matrix structure was also achieved by austempering at 360 ℃ for 8 minutes then followed by 300 ℃ for 172 minutes. The results showed that, quite surprisingly and contrary to the general belief that flake graphites dominate and control all properties of gay iron, the plane stress fracture toughness of the cast iron so treated were increased from the as-cast of 12.7 MPa √ m to thet of 16.3, 24.1 and 26.7MPa √ m respectively for the above heat-treated conditions. These were marked improvement of 28%, 90%, and 110% for the flake graphite cast iron with upper-ausferrite, lower-ausferrite, and mixed upper/lower ausferrite matrices. |
