中文摘要 | 活性碳對液相中有機有良好的吸附能力,有機物在活性碳表面也會產生氧化作用。本實驗利用這個特點,以活性碳填充管柱通以臭氧加強氧化染整廢水,並同時催化氧化及脫附活緎碳表面的有機物,使活性碳可重複再利用。 本實驗以各種不同操作條件(活性碳添加量,臭氧曝氣流速、臭氧進口濃度、氧化劑的添加量原水污染物濃度),及實驗設計法探討各變因對理效果之影響,且各操作變數對實驗的處理效果互相干擾性小,同時污染物(COD)去除率隨著活性碳添加量與氧化劑的添加量增加而增加。 本實驗也證明反應過程中,活性碳有短暫的吸附作用,以及臭氧氧化活性碳表面有機物使其脫附,即達到活性碳再生的功能,並以重複操作證明活性碳填充床可以重複再利用。另外,在催化氧化反應前後,也同時考慮化學混凝法處理,並比較其不同處理程序的效果。 在動力學方面,以指數反應動力學模式應論批次實驗中,COD去除過程的一階多段反應,發現第一段是吸附作用,第二段是氧化分解作用,本研究也觀察到,應用複式反應動力學模式,可以更適切的描述整個吸附/氧化分解過程。 |
英文摘要 | Past researches have shown that both adsorption and chemical reaction can occur simultaneously on the surfaces of granular activated carbon (GAC). The present work attempts to enhance the simultaneous surface adsorption and chemical oxidation of GAC by using ozone in a fixed- or fluidized-bed adsorption process. Control variables considered in the present study included the GAC amount, ozone gas flow rate, and inlet ozone and pollutant concentrations. Results of test runs indicated that a short period of GAC adsorption exits before ozonation causes significant oxidation of pollutant on the GAC surfaces. Such an ozone-mediated oxidation effected an excellent pollutant removal over 86% and in situ GAC regeneration, enabling GAC reuse. Also considered in the present work was the effect of chemical coagulation on the pollutant removal of the combined oxidation process. Kinetic studies using the observed data also showed the short period of rapid GAC adsorption before ozonation. In spite of its different pollutant removal mechanisms, the combined oxidation process can be described by a general order kinetic model. |
