英文摘要 | Since the first national park was established in 1872, more than 1200 national parks have been set aside worldwide now and many of these areas have been created on lands traditionally used by aboriginal peoples. Unfortunately, these national parks generally practiced not only without regard the needs of aboriginal peoples, but also disrupted their traditional social and economic system and resulted in various conflicts. The negative situation also can be found in the early development of national parks of the United State and Canada. This study tried to compare the interaction of national parks and native peoples between the America and Canada in terms of development history, important cases, legislations, policies, organizations and strategies. The aim of this study was to provide the valuable experiences of Northern America for Taiwan as reference to improve the relationships of national parks and native peoples. In addition, some suggestion also proposed in this study. |
