中文摘要 | 約翰彌爾是十九世紀偉大的哲學家、政治家與思想家,對教育亦有相當的關注。他對功利主義的再詮釋及對自由的倡議與創見,對現下教育與社會仍有值得參考之處。本研究主要採用文獻調查法,在彌爾的重要著作及國內外相關論述中分析功利主義、自由哲學與教育思想。最後根據其觀點,在教育目的、內容與方法、道德教育、受教權與選擇權等方面得到啟示,並提出結論與建議。 |
英文摘要 | As a great philosopher, politician, economist and thinker in 19th century, John Stuart Mill expresses deep concern for education. His refinement of Utilitarianism and liberal theories still provide references and implications for today's education and society. By means of literature survey, this paper attempts to discuss Mill's Utilitarianism, liberal theories and the implications on education, and then conclude with indications and suggestions of educational objectives, content, method, moral education, the rights of receiving education and school choice according to Mill's thoughts. |
