中文摘要 | 本研究旨在建立讀書會的功能指標,以做為評估讀書會成效的依據。本研究 續研究者先前的全國性焦點團體座談結果,進一步據以編製成問卷,以分層隨機方式,針對全國各縣市共400個讀書會,1200位成員進行抽樣調查,回收有效問卷540份,之後,運用因素分析等方法進行指標結構的建構。結果發現讀書會正面功能有六個層面:提昇人際相處能、助長社區/社會意識、帶動家庭成長、增進閱讀效能、促進對社教機構之運用,和提高個人能力。並發現讀書會對其成員的正面影響頗大,不過影響力因成員的性別、年齡與教育程度而有不同。成員對讀書會功能的認知與其實際所受的影響有若干差異,譬如:成員所認知的正面功能顯著高於其實際所受的影響程度;成員所認知的負面功能顯著低於其實際所受的影響程度。本研究並針對這些現象做一分析,且對讀書會推廣和未來研究提出若干的建議。 |
英文摘要 | This research is to construct indexes to the functions of reading groups in Taiwan for the assessment of the impacts of reading groups in the future. The data on the functions of reading groups, collected from a nationwide focused-group study by this author, are used to compile the preliminary questionnaire for current research. Thus, 1200 questionnaires are returned. The results from factor analysis show that the positive functions of reading groups can be categorized into six dimensions as follows:1) enriching interpersonal communication, 2) enhancing reading efficiencies, 3) promoting the utilization of social educational institutions, 4)facilitating family growth, 5) stimulating senses of the community, and 6) raising individual's general competencies. Also, it is found that reading groups have strong impacts on their members. However, the influences of reading groups on their members differ in terms of gender, age and educational backgrounds. The results also show a gap between members' recognition of the functions of reading groups and the actual influences of reading groups on themselves. For example, members expect higher of reading group's positive functions rather than how they have actually been affected. The actual influences of the negative effects are much greater than the members' perceptions of which. Beside the explanation of the above mentioned phenomena, this paper also provides suggestions to the advancement of practice and research of reading groups in the future. |
