中文摘要 | 同產業中商之間存在著巨大的效率差異,此現像在實証文獻中提出,並統計出長期產業的廠商效率分配曲線呈鐘型,本文的目地在應用熊彼德創新與模仿的競爭架構建立一模型解釋此現像,文中模型根據Iwai的假設建立的,個別廠商競爭行為(創新及模倣)可視為一隨機過程,由顧Iwai並非用一完全隨機化分析架構,保別廠商隨機行為與產業整體變化之間關係—總體變數是某種個體變數的平均數的意義並不清楚,文中針對此問題以Master Equation架構來重建Iwai的模型。 |
英文摘要 | Efficiency discrepancy is enormous among firms even within the same industry. This phenomenon is expounded in several empirical literature. The most important conclusion arises from these literature is that the long run efficiency distribution of firm is bell-shaped. The purpose of this paper is to present a model of innovation and diffusion based on Schumpeterian perspective to explain the phenomenon. The model adopts Iwai’s assumptions of innovation and diffusion of business firms. Basically, innovation and diffusion is assumed to be stochastic processes. But his model is subjected to certain limitations. The change of macro-variable is initiated from stochastic micro-variable is not quite clear because the linkage between the two is not explicitly formulated in a probabilistic framework. Therefore, the meaning of the macro-variable as some sorts of statistical averages needs to be clarified. It is this drawback that motivates this paper. We reformulate Iwai’s model through an application of the master equation approach. |
