中文摘要 | 本研究以台灣地區大型企業為對象,對以下兩個問題進行研究:(一)探討企業程度再造實施過程中所遭遇到的問題;(二)探討影響企業程序再造成敗的因素。在「企業程序再造」所遭遇到的問題方面,包括:高階主管的支持、變革管理、專案規劃、專案管理與企業的資訊科技能力。在與「企業程序再造」成敗相關的因素方面,探討兩大因素與再造成敗的相關性:社會因素與技術因素;前者包括企業的管理制度、高階主管的支持與變革管理,後者包括再造專案的規劃、管理、企業的資訊科技能力、及再造程序的廣度。 |
英文摘要 | This study looks into the current practices of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in Taiwanese companies. Two main research issues are: (1) to examine the barriers to BPR implementation; (2) to identify the BPR success factors. We explore these issues from sociological and technological aspects including the dimensions of management support, change of management, project planning, project management and IT competence. The results of a mail survey reveal that: 1. Companies with more employees are more likely to implement BPR projects. About half of the BPR projects started after 1996, and nearly 60% of the companies hire outside consultants for BPR projects. 2. The most severe problem facing BPR implementation is a change of management followed by project management, IT competence, management support and project planning. 3. The completeness of the management processes is highly correlated with the success of BPR projects. 4. The success of BPR is significantly affected by IT competence. The degree of communication also affects BPR success. 5. Project management is highly correlated with the success of BPR. Change of management, management support and project planning also influence BPR success. |
