英文摘要 | Three major factors contribute to the environmental impact caused by the operation of an accelerator. Those factors include gamma rays and neutron particles transmitted through the shields, the skyshine of neutrons which escape from the top of the accelerator building, and the gas effluent released from the stack. This paper describes the measurements during the operation of the INER TR-30/15 cyclotron facility. The results show that (1) the dose rates outside the shielding wall met the designed dose limits, except those of cooling pipes;(2) the average neutron energy was decreased from 4MeV to 2.43MeV by the shielding of 2 m of ordinary concrete;and (3) both the air concentration released from the stack and the skyshine of the neutron equivalent dose were below the detection limit of 1 mSv. |
