英文摘要 | We consider a production system composed of machines in tandem with a certain level of initial work-in-process inventory under two different new-job-release reles, a hybrid policy, and a CONWIP policy with constant work in process. The performance of these policies is studied under the assumption that demands not immediatel satisfied are backlogged. We investigate the effects of machine processing times, initial inventory level, and arrival characteristics of the demand process on the delivery lead time to fill a demand in both systems. The behavior of both policies is studied by means of form expressions for Markovian systems, and via stochastic comparison techniques, under more general stochastic assumptions. |
