英文摘要 | This study considers the problem of discriminating between the polynomial regression models of degree k-1 (Model A) and k (Model B) on the interval [-1,1]. The goal here is to find experimental designs that can efficiently achieve all three objectives simultaneously: (1) to discriminate between Model A and Model B, and depending on the decision, (2) to make inferences in either Model A, or (3) Model B. In Pukelsheim and Rose的erger (1993), they presented several designs for the above multiple-objectives consideration for k = 3 without concluding which design is optimal. Here we propose a multiple-objectives optimal criterion (namely, the M-criterion) which maximizes the geometric mean of the traditional single-objective optimal criteria for (1), (2) and (3). The technique of canonical moments is used to determine the optimal design with respect to the proposed criterion. This optimal design performs remarkably well. The behavior of the efficiencies of the proposed optimal design, the traditional singleobjective optimal designs, the mixture D-optimal design for Model A and B (Dette 1990) and their common limiting design ξ0 (the arc-sine distribution) is investigated for various k. |
