英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of manufacturing executive's participation in upstream decision-making activities on business performance. Forty-five manufacturers from information hardware industry in Taiwan were sampled as empirical subjects. The results show that decision activity types and product-market strategy are the primary factors affecting manufacturing executive's participation. Results of regression analysis indicate that manufacturing executive's participation are positively related to business performance. The findings also show that manufacturing executive's participation are more positively related to sales growth among firms with externally oriented business strategy, but more negatively among firms with internally oriented business strategy. Finally, implications and recommendations for future research are discussed based on the study. |
