中文摘要 | 一般課程中,以閱讀理解為基礎的寫作(如考試的申論題與報告等)謂之「學術 性寫作」,以學習為主要目的。寫作種類很多,其中以「評論式寫作」最具挑戰性。本文主 旨為探討閱讀與(學術性)寫作的互動性。以「個案研究」方法,詳細敘述一位臺灣留美學 生第一次寫「評論性文章」的寫作過程。在十二次修稿過程中,閱讀與寫作交織的情形、交 稿後,讀者(評審老師)的評語與回應,以及她如何與評審老師交涉與建造共識,以達到學 習目的--安全過關。此個案研究結果有助於我們對「學術性寫作」過程的瞭解,對第二語的 英文寫作教學也有若干啟示。「評論式寫作」是培養大學以上學生批判性思想的有效方法。 |
英文摘要 | In content-based instruction, university students are expected to read with comprehension and to demonstrate knowledge by writing (e.g., exam questions, trem papers). A critique is an advanced type of academic writing, which is based on reading comprehension of another's text. Chinese students often find it difficult because they have never learned to read critically. The purpose of the paper is to investigate by means of a case study the composing process of a student from Taiwan writing a critique in English. Results from the think-aloud protocols, multiple drafts, and reviewer's responses, have presented us a better picture of the student writer's composing processes, reading-writing interre- lationship, and student-teacher negotiation and consturction of meaning. To develop critical literacy in our higher institutes of education, it is suggested that critique-writing be adopted as an effective pedagogical instrument. |
