英文摘要 | The corn grit was used as the raw material in a single-screw extruder to study the effects of feed compositions on energy absorption of loose-fill extrudates. The response surface methodology with three variables and five levels was used as the experimental design. The process variables were the ratios of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2), and urea. The extrudate's energy absorption such as energy absorption of each cycle, total energy absorption were investigated. Experimental results indicated that: The adaptor's load had significant effects on both extrudate's energy absorption of each cycle and total energy absorption. The adaptor's speed had no significant effect on extrudate's energy absorption of each cycle, however, it significantly influence extrudate's total energy absorption. Both additive types and ratios have significant effects on extrudate's total energy absorption. No matter the experimental or commercial products, the energy absorption decreased rapidly from the first cycle to the second cycle. And the extrudat's energy absorption reached to a stable low value after the second cycle. |
