英文摘要 | Lieh-nu-chuan of Hou Han-Shu is the first biography of women in Chinese officialhistory. It took gender as a classification and became a section in historical writing, andeffected the foundation of women's individual biography in the development of Chinesehistoriography. The purpose of this essay is not to indicate how women lived in the Latter Han Dynasty. It attempts understand how Fan Yeh described women in the Latter Han Dynasty from theperspective of women's history, the history of historiography and the relationship ofenvironment and historiography. This article consists of three main sections. Firstly, itdiscusses the meaning of Lieh-nu-chuan and Huang-hou-chi in Chinese historiography.Secondly, it explores the insight of Fan Yeh on women. Finally, it points out the problem forresearch on Chinese women history when using traditional writing materials. Generally speaking. Fan Yeh's writing has its origins and new elements both in formatand content. Fan Yeh continued the traditional historical research, setting up many newcategories and firstly wrote a biography of palace women. Fan Yeh let his writing preservedthe features of Confucianism in the Latter Han history materials, and present individualizedfeatures of Wei-Chin Dynasty. The Huang-hou-chi gave the palace women an overallpresentation. The Lieh-nu-chuan shows a vivid image of Chinese women in one historicalperiod. However, it is a pity that historians have an emphasis on women's morality andchastity, so that women's image in Lieh-nu- chuan has not always been diversified. |
