中文摘要 | 一種新語言的學習定然涵括對該語言的世界觀、風俗、信念與社會傳統差異的認 知,唯有對語言所在文化脈絡達致某種程度的瞭解,方能彰顯語言的價值與豐富性。是故, 應視文化為語言聽、說、讀、寫技能外的另一個重要面向。透過文獻的歸納分析,可以發 現外語之文化面向教學成效不彰的關鍵主要在於欠缺適當的教材、教學取向與教學策略不 當。依學者建議,外語文化教學內容可採取先建立文化分類架構,再依分類架構選擇適當 主題的系統方式來編排;教科書的選擇則可分從學習者、學習情境、教學者、內容編排等 向度來考慮;而外語文化素材仍應以來自標的文化之道地材料為優先。就教學取向與教學 策略而言,應採取文化學習的歷程取向。除卻教材,學習者與教學者亦是教學歷程的關鍵 要素。以學習者內在歷程而言,其於認知、情意、行動、涵化方面均呈現一由簡而繁、循 序而進的歷程;教學實施一方面必須配合學習者的學習發展次第,另一方面亦需循系統的 步驟以有計畫的方式進行教學活動。學校教育用心營造之學習氣氛是發展文化覺察與理解 的良好環境,因此倘發展適當文化教材與豐富標的文化資源,並培育具備充分外語教學文 化知能的教師,則文化教學成效可期,而外語教學也真能達致其溝通的學習目標。 |
英文摘要 | The paper mainly aims to explore the culture aspect of foreign language teaching. Learning culture is as universal and natural as learning language. The culture should be made the most important aspects of foreign language course because knowledge of the culture is necessary for communication, essential for interpersonal interaction, and an important factor is personal and international culture understanding. There are major problems of culture learning. The first, how to provide the culture information need -- in other words, what to teach? The second, what is the culture learning, should we take culture study as information acquisition, as automatic outcome, or a process? The third, how to devise ways of presenting culture in such a manner that the students can comprehend and relate the information? The main purposes of this paper are to clarify these problems and by means of literature review to make some suggestion. |
