中文摘要 | 煉焦廢水由於成份複雜且其中甚多為揮發性之有機物,傳統上此類廢水之處理技術以活性污泥法最為廣泛應用。活性污泥之曝氣池通常裝設表面曝氣機或曝氣管使混合液體與空氣作劇烈攪拌,藉以提供微生物足夠氧氣,惟同時亦增加了揮發性有機物逸散的機會。 中鋼公司煉焦廢水處理水處理場原亦使用傳統式表面曝氣機曝氣之活性污泥法,惟鑑於近年來由於國內污染防治法規及放流水標準日趨嚴格,乃於1996年採用純氧曝氣設備,裝設於既有活性污泥之曝氣池,取代傳統之表面曝氣機,藉以提高廢水處理容量,並可由曝氣池通氣量減少以降低揮發性有機物之逸散量。本研究利用實場採樣分析之結果證實,使用純氧曝氣設備後廢水場周圍之苯、甲苯等物質之逸散量均已較原先使用表面曝氣機時減量達98%以上。 |
英文摘要 | Coke wastewater contains more that 100 kinds of appreciable pollutants, many of which are on the list of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). In order to supply sufficient quantities of oxygen for the biodegradation of wastewater by the microorganisms, a diffused aeration or surface aeration unit is commonly used in the aerobic wastewater treatment process. This also results in the uncontrolled release of VOCs from the wastewater treatment plant. Since there is a growing concern about the emission of VOCs to the atmosphere by industrial sector, China Steel has retrofitted a pure oxygen based aeration system onto the coke wastewater treatment plant to replace the existing surface aerators in 1996. This paper is focused on the abatement of VOCs emission by means of reduced aeration rate. Results obtained from field analysis indicate that the quantities of benzene and toluene released from the treatment plant have decreased by more than 98% since the pure oxygen aeration system was operated. |
