中文摘要 | 本文擬從形上學、時間觀,以及道德暨宗教的立場,探討(原始)基督教對於「 寬容」( Tolerance )和(原始)儒家對於「恕」( Shu )的看法。從而,以異中求同的 原則,先是論述一者為天啟神學,另一者為人學;接著,試以互補的觀點,即本於有神論的 思維之考慮,析論強調人之可完美性的儒家,並無強而有力的理據可迴避或拒斥基督教所抱 持的完美德性(按:無罪性)和完美人性(按:道成肉身的神人)觀。最後,則由人的有限 性與存在性的角度,探討兩方因預設的差異有否達到相互敬重的可能性﹖ |
英文摘要 | This essay investigates the Christian idea of tolerance and the Confucian idea of "Shu." It tries to look for the common elements of the two different approaches, the theological perspective and the anthropological one. It maintains that the Confucian emphasis of man's perfectibility is not a strong argument against the theistic viewpoint of man, that of the realization of perfect virtue (sinlessness) and the perfection of human nature (the incarnation of Godman). Finally, it examines the possibility of reconciling the differences resulted from their different presuppositions, in order to achieve mutual respect. |
