中文摘要 | 本試驗係以黃色種菸草品種為研究對象,在本省現有黃色種菸草品種內逢機取出6個品種:Virginia gold (P1), Vesta 5 (P2), Vam-hicks (P3), Hicks broad leaf (P4), Delcrest (P5), Jamaica wrapper (P6) 作為1 逢機樣品(Random sample),進行完全組合單交(All possible single crosses),計獲有15種不同之雜交組合。採用逢機區集設計,分為4個區集,每區集包括15個雜交組合及6個親本。採用單行區,行長7.5公尺,行株距為1.0及0.5公尺。研究性狀計有可收穫葉數、產量、單價(Value per k. g.)及總價(Total values)。各項試驗資料均以試區為單位調查紀錄及進行統計分析,茲將重要之研究結果概要於下: (一)由變方分析之F值顯著性測驗結果,知各研究性狀之一般組合力均有顯著之存在,而特殊組合力均未達顯著之程度。 (二)一般組合力變方(σ2g)均遠較特殊組合力變方(σ2s)為大,其二者變方之比值(Variance ratio)在1.92~6.83 之間,可知黃色種菸草品種間之雜交,係以一般組合力較佔重要性,亦?証明因子(Genes)累加性遺傳變方(Additive genetic variance)均遠較顯性變方(Dominant variance)為大。 (三)Virginia gold (P1)及Vesta 5 (P2) 兩親本在可收穫葉數及產量方面有較優異之一般組合力效應(General combining ability effects),而Hicks broad leaf(P4) 及Delcrest (P5) 兩親本在單價及總價方面有較優異之一般組合力效應,其中尤以P4更為優異,Vam-hicks (P3) 均無特殊優劣之表現,Jamaica wrapper (P6)之一般組合力效應為最低。各雜交親本以質量綜合觀之,以Hicks broad leaf之育種價值(Breeding values)為最高,其次為Delcrest;Jamaica wrapper為最低。 (四)除Vesta 5在可收穫葉數及產量方面較特殊外,其餘各親本之平均數(Parental mean)之大小與一般組合力效應之大小有極明顯之正相關關係存在。?親本平均數較大者,其一般組合力效應亦有較大之現象。 (五)Virginia gold與Hicks broad leaf兩親本之雜交,各研究性狀似均有明顯之優異特殊組合力效應(Specific combining ability effect)之存在。 |
英文摘要 | Six varieties, Virginia Gold (P1), Vesta (P2), Vam-Hicks (P3), Hicks Broad Leaf (P4), Delcrest (P5) and Jamaica Wrapper (P6) were randomly selected from a group of flue-cured tobacco varieties. Crosses were made among the six varieties in all possible combinations. Four characters, number of leaves, yield of cured-leaf, value per kilogram and total value per hectare were studied. Randomized block design with 4 replications was used in this experiment. Each block consisted of 21 single-row plots, each of which was 7.5 meter in length, and plants were spaced at 0.5 meter in the row. These 21 plots were made up of 6 parental lines and 15 F1 hybrids. The results are summarized as follows: The experimental data on mumber of leaves, yield, value per kilogram and total value per hectare were recorded on a plot basis. The results obtained showed that the general combining ability was significant for all characters, but no specific combining ability of any character was significant. The variances of general combining ability (σ2g) were much greater than the variances of specific combining ability (σ2s). The variance ratios (σ2g/σ2s) for number of leaves, yield, value per kilogram, and total value per hectare were 6.83, 1.92, 4.89 and 3.98 respectively. These results indicated that the general combining ability was much important than the specific combining ability in self-pollinated crop, as tobacco. In other word, the priciple variance is additive genetive variance for all characters. The general combining ability effects (gi) of six varieties and specific combining ability effects (sij) of 15 F1 hybrids were estimated respectively. The general combining ability effect for the number of leaves and yield was high in Virginia Gold and Vesta 5, while the general combining ability effect for the value per kilogram and total value per hectare was high in Hicks Broad Leaf and Delcrest. It was low for all characters in Jamaica Wrapper. In general, Hicks Broad Leaf has the highest breading value, Delcrest second and Jamaica Wrapper the lowest. A positive relationship between parental mean and general combining ability effect was observed for all characters except for the number of leaves and yield in Vesta 5. The specific combining ability effect (Sij) of the F1 hybrids of Virginia Gold ×Hicks Broad Leaf was found to be the greatest for all characters. |
