中文摘要 | (一)苧麻雄不稔性系統與雄不稔性自交系雜交後,在F1世代中,有少數組合發生分離,多數組合表現為完全可稔。至F2世代,兩者均分離可稔與不稔為3:1,故指示可稔為顯性,而不稔為一對隱性核因子作用之結果。 (二)F1與雙親測交之結果,每顯示可稔性百分率增高,此中原因如何,尚未明瞭,有待探究。 (三)核因子不稔性遺傳,在可以用宿根繁殖之苧麻育種利用上,依理有其便利之處,?可以由宿根法留選不稔株,供育種利用。惟就目前本試驗範圍,尚未找到適當之材料可以利用,而有待於目前已另選出之其他雄不稔性系統,參加更廣泛之育種行為試驗,去探究測定。 |
英文摘要 | In this study with ramie (Boehmeria nivea Gaud.). ten cross combinations were made in 1960 between 2 male-sterile lines and 9 hermaphrodite inbreds. Seven of the ten F1 generations were fully male-fertile whereas others produced male-fertile, semimal-sterile and male-sterile. Only six combinations of the original crosses were tested in F2 and testcross. In F2 populations they all segregated in a ratio of 3 male-fertile to 1 male-sterile, the value of p for the chi-square values ranged from 0.02-0.05 to 0.30-0.50. It was concluded that this particular type of male sterility in ramie is due to one recessive nuclear gene, and it is suggested the gene symbol ms be used for this factor. Some unexplained results were observed in some F1 and testcross progenies. In the investigations, an excess of male-fertile offspring was found as compared with male-stertile offspring when a 1:1 or 1:0 ratio was expected. This evidence may be attributable to the operation of preferential fertilization, but proof for such an assumption must await additional study. In testcrosses some exceptional instances were also observed. Theoretically when the F1 hybrids backcrossed to their male parents or from the reciprocal crosses, their offspring should be entirely fertile, but there were a number of individuals classified as completely male-stertile plants were found. This evidence appears to be similar to that described in beets by OWEN (1945) and might be explained by environmental influence. This project is being continued for further studies with more male sterile lines other than the materials mentioned here. At the present time, it is soon to tell whether a proper method for the production of hybrid seed will be established from the studies, but on the basis of the results reported here, it appears showing considerable promise. |
