英文摘要 | 1. twenty-one species belong to 17 families of hardwoods are used as materials for this experiment. These materials vary in colour, specific gravity (0.338~0.8), fibrelengths (1.09~2.29 mm), pentoson content (14.54~22.32%), lignin content (18.09~37.07%), and total cellulose content (45.92~62.49%). 2. The results obtained from the cold soda process show that the twenty-one mixed pulp is as strong as the groungwood pupl of Luchu pine. And those made from single species are widely different from each other in strength. Broussonetia papurifera, Eucalyptus citriodora, Mallotus paniculatus, Trema orientalis and Praesticta are the best ones among those twenty-one species, their pupls are stronger than the common simili papers. But Beilschmiedia erythrophoia, Laportea pterostigma and Castamopsis formosana are very bad. 3. The results obtained from sodium sulfite process with the same mixed twenty-one species are far better than that obtained from cold soda process, even more than the simili papers. 4. There are three essential factors closely related to the quality of pulp in cold soda process. They NaOH concentration, soaing time and soaking pressure. Some superior pulps were gianed in this experiment when NaOH concentration at 3~4%, hydrostatic pressure at 150 p. s. i. and the soaking time around 3 hours. 5. The colour and woods are closely related to the quality of pulp. Generally speaking, the higher the lignin content, or the lower the cellulose content, the darker the wood colourm and worse the quality of pulp. 6. According to the results of this experiment, the harwood pulps which produced by cold soda process are more suitable for making paperboard and newsprint paper. The pulps produced by sodium sulfite process can be used in the manufacture of priting papers and simili papers etc. Some superior papers can be made, if longfibere pulps are mixed with this bleached pulps. |
