中文摘要 | 本研究為探討 SKDll 模具鋼經放電加工後,其加工表面性質的各種影響,實驗用材料經淬火和回火的熱處理後,利用不同電極材料來放電加工 SKDll,全面探討脈衝電流及脈衝時間、電極材料 (石墨、紅銅及銅鑄合金) 等參數對放電加工SKDll 的影響,所討論 SKDll 的表面性質包括表面放電刻痕、表面租糙度、表面微硬度、表面變質層厚度,並觀察表面再鑄層 (recast layer) 的微結構變化。研究結果指出 SKDll 模具鋼經放電加工後,表面金相、租糙度和整體的製程參數和金屬移除率有關。而其相變態、新微結構的形成、表面的破壞 (裂縫的形成),變質層的形成和微硬度的變化都將在此實驗中被定性與定量的分析與討論。這些的實驗結果證實放電加工 SKDll 製程的複雜性,因其含合金量高,會使微裂縫 (microcracking) 較明顯,但放電能量的衝擊及高溫,使得表面精度會較差,尤其高電流時會有較多雜質殘留在表面。而加工的電極以銅鑄的精度較高,石墨電極的加工速度最快,但不論何種電極皆隨脈衝電流及一定的脈衝時間變大而增加,且使變質層變厚,但以銅電極的變質層較厚,石墨電極放電刻痕較大。 |
英文摘要 | Using EDM machines SKDll is usually method for die making. EDM is a special and precision machining process that utilizes the heat and plasma channel, generated from local discharging between the electrode and workpiece to remove material. Dielectric will be decomposed and caburized the EDM surface for local heat concentration. This will produce a brittle recasted layer, cracks, and residual stress on the surface. Effect of different electrodes that discharging in kerosene dielectric with SKDll die steel is fully investigated in this study. The parameters are electrode materials (copper, copper-tungsten, and graphite), working current and pulse duration time. This article discusses some phenomenon mentioned above and proposes some recommended working condition to reduce the thickness of recasted layer and the formation of cracks without sacrificing the machining speed. Experimental results of surface roughness, material removal rate, relative electrodes wear ratio, and recasted layer are discussed. Different electrodes induce different discharge conditions and microstructures of recasted layer are verified, such as material removal rate, roughness, etc. |
