中文摘要 | 本研究運用1995—1996台灣社會變遷基本調查資料,採取Blau and Duncan地位取得模型,比較原漢族群地位取得過程。經實證發現:教育機會的增加並沒有減低原漢族群間教育地位分配的不平等性,子代原漢族群間教育成就的差距反大於父代。在教育地位取得過程中,原住民受到家庭背景的影響量小於漢人,農家出身變項對原住民教育地位取得最具決定力,父親教育的影響有限,母親教育與父親職業則不具影響力;比較漢人樣本,父親教育、母親教育、父親職業及農家出身等家庭背景變項對教育地位取得皆具顯著影響,個人教育是影響原漢族群初職地位的主要因素;家庭背景對原住民初職取得主要是直接影響效果,在漢人則多透過中介變項教育而產生的間接效果。不論原住民或漢人,影響現職地位取得的主要因素是初職,其次為教育;家庭背景對原住民現職取得不具影響力,對漢人則多透過中介變項教育及初職產生的間接影響效果。 |
英文摘要 | Using the data of Social Change Survey in Taiwan 1995-1996, this paper compares status attainment process between Aborigines and Han groups. Major findings are as follows: the educational attainment of Aborigines is significantly lower than that of Han. The effects of father's education, mother's education, father's occupation and farm origin on educational attainment of Han groups are significant, however, only farm origin on educational attainment of Aborigines are significant. Father's occupation only has a small effect on educational attainment of Aborigines. The influence of family backgrounds on educational attainment of Han groups is greater than that on aborigines. The main influential predictor on first occupational status of both Aborigines and Han are education. While family backgrounds have direct effects on first job status of Aborigines, the effects of family backgrounds on first job of Han groups are mainly through the education attainment. The influential predictor for current occupational status of both Aborigines and Han are first occupational status and education attainment. The effects of family background for occupational status of Han groups are mainly through the first occupational status and education attainment. |
