英文摘要 | Analytical transient solutions are developed for a two-dimensional rectangular plate fin with tip convective conditions when the fin base is subjected to constant heat flux. By using methods of the Laplace transformation and separation of variables, the effects of tip convections on the temperature distributions along the fin and the transient total heat flow at the fin lateral and tip surfaces are examined. Solutions are also obtained for two other tip boundary conditions (i.e., the tip is insulated and the tip temperature is equal to that of the surroundings). To assess the tip convective effects, the ratios of the transient heat flow rate on the tip surface to the transient total heat flow rate on the fin surfaces are discussed. |
