英文摘要 | The author describes and explains the work of librarians at the University of Central Arkansas with a special, minority student, summer academy called, "African Americans Partnering Talent" (APT). UCA librarians were called upon to design and deliver the research skills component of the APT curriculum. This activity led to the formation of ongoing and productive educational partnerships among minority students and librarians. Minority students began to utilize librarians as an important and practical resource for achieving success in their academic programs. Also, the role of librarians as a credible component of the educational process was enhanced among university faculty. |
