英文摘要 | Hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite electrogenerated by the cathodic reduction of dissolved oxygen and the anodic oxidation of chloride ion were employed to degrade formaldehyde in a continuous-flow stirred-tank electrochemical reactor (CSTER). The current efficiency for producing hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite in the absence of formaldehyde increased from 77.5 and 55.8% to 91.9 and 73.7%, respectively, when the gas flow rate increased from 100 to 300 ml min-1. For the gas flow rate ranging from 100 to 300 ml min-1, the total degradation fraction of formaldehyde increased from 9.09 to 10.98% and the total current efficiencies of the paired oxidative degradation of formaldehyde increased from 123.5 to 151.9%. The degradation of formaldehyde in both of the anodic and cathodic chambers was controlled by the mass transfer rate when the gas flow rate was less than 250 ml min-1. |
