英文摘要 | Using organic polymers as active semiconductors in light-emitting diodes has rapidly advanced in recent years. The luminescent efficiencies and life times of light-emitting poly(p- phneylene vinylene)(PPV) and polyflourene (PF) have fulfilled the minimum requirements for applying polymeric light-emitting display (PLED). From the perspective of device development, Philips Co. has announced they will make the first commercial mono-color PLED before the end of 1999. However, how to make full color PLED is still under evaluation and how to develop processable materials has received considerable interest. Researchers at Seiko-Epson are attempting to pattern red, green, and blue color pixels by using ink-jet printing technology and formulate PPV inks. This article reviews current developments of light emitting polymers and their display applications. |
