英文摘要 | For a subscritical flow with a critical depth yc and an end depth ye of a free overfall, if the head loss and the change in elevation of the channel bottom are neglected, the end depth ratios ye/yc as predicted by Anderson's method are generally smaller than those as commonly accepted. However, including the frictional head loss will increase the value of end depth ratio, the range of which depends upon the product f!μx/yc, where Ax is the distance from the section with a critical flow prevailing to the brink and f denotes the friction factor. For wide open and rectangular channels, if commonly accepted values of end depth ratio for a free overfall, 0.710 and 0.7 15 respectively, are used, the product f! μx/yc will be fixed constants; f!μx/yc= 0.1467583 for a wide open channel, and f!μ x/yc=0.07510867, 0.1473389 and 0.1674705 for a rectangular channel with b/yc= 1, 5, 10 respectively, where b denotes the channel width. |
