英文摘要 | A new class of homogeneous olefin polymerization catalysts named as naked metal has been discovered by B.F.Goodrich Company. Concluded from the experimental results, the mechanism of this polymerization reaction has been christened as coordination cationic polymerization. Using this technology, B.F.Goodrich has been abale to polymerize norbornene and its derivatives including hydroxy, carboxylic acid, ester and silyl group substituents with unprecedented activity. Cationically polymerizable monomers such as isoprene, isobutylene, styrenes, etc. can also be polymerized using these catalysts under mild conditions. Also included in this article is the brief introduction to the possible commercial applications of the materials developed by this technology. |
