英文摘要 | This paper presents a practical model for predicting the service life of existing reinforced concrete structures under carbonation-induced corrosion. The Laplace transform method is applied to solving Fick's second law of diffusion with initial and boundary conditions. The analytical solution can be represented as a practical model in which coefficients can be modified based on empirical results from existing structures and/or laboratory tests. The model may be applied in many different situations As an illustration, it is used to estimate the remaining service life and durability grade of two old bridges. To refine the model for better accuracy, more data have to be collected and used as the basis for correcting the related coefficients. |
