英文摘要 | The onset and finish temperatures of austenite-to-ferrite phase transformation are very important parameters for strips that are rolled in two-phase region or ferrite region. A new method for measuring the phase transformation temperatures is proposed in the present study. By employing a new generation thermomechanical simulator, a succession of plain strain compression was applied to the steel sample upon cooling. The transformation temperatures were therefore obtained according to the discontinuity of the stress-temperature curve. The major benefit of this method is that the transformation temperaturesare measured under a condition in which the strain rate and accumulated strain are similar to those in hot strip rolling. In addition, the microstructure and texture of steels after hot rolling can be simulated in the same test. |
