中文摘要 | 先秦子書大都成於眾人之手;即使同一種書,也屢經過多人、多時及多次的纂集,然後才定型下來。在未定型之際,它容許有若干不同傳本,彼此之間字句有差別、章節有參差及章次有不同,應該時而可見。似此不穩定的原始本,對後世傳本有很大的影響。 學者在從事古籍校勘時,好以「定於一尊」之態度保留一個傳本,否決了其他各本。似此處理方法,實際上已經否認了古籍原始本的複雜性及多樣性,進而等於承認古籍在開始時即只有一種傳本而已。本文以帛書《老子》及古本《老子》為例,論證此一課題的爭議性,進而對校勘方法提出一些淺見。 |
英文摘要 | Most of the philosophers' works in the pre-Ch'in were compiled by different authors in various times and places. Before these compilations, these original works were circulated in varying original versions and these were differences found in their words, sentences, and even chapters. Further, most of them were passed on to their following versions in the Han dynasty and even the later periods. The scholars of textual criticism have always made an error of judgement in denying the diversity that existed in these original versions by selecting only one of these original versions as "correct" and abandoning the others as "incorrect." Hence, in this paper, I discuss this problem and attempt to resolve it by studying the differences of the original versions of Lao-tze as an example. |
