中文摘要 | 近年來遺傳工程的進展已開啟了基因轉殖的新紀元,即生物個體的基因轉殖不再受自然界種屬界限的限制。任何微生物、動物、植物的基因,只要經過適當的構築,即可嵌入植物染色體的表現。十幾年來植物基因工程的廣泛應用,勢將使得未來農業生產的型態產生巨大的改變。本文的目的,主要在介紹目前植物基因工程在植物保護應用的狀況,雖然文獻上之收集或許不盡完善,但是有關轉基因作物應用於防治害蟲、抗殺草劑、抗非生物因子逆境、抗真菌、抗病毒、抗細菌、抗線蟲等有關植物保護方面之現況,包括其基本理論與所採用之策略則有詳盡介紹,其各自之發展前景亦加以討論。另外本文亦對現階段轉基因植物在美國之商用上市情形,以及在中國大陸之應用加以回顧分析,供大家瞭解比較。最後並檢討目前臺灣相關研究的現況以及所面臨之問題,提供大家切磋共勉。 |
英文摘要 | Recent advances in molecular biotechnology have opened a new era for plant genetic engineering. Any of the useful genes from microorganisms, animals, or plants can be inserted into a specific plant genome and expressed in an expected mode as long as a particular gene is adequately constructed in a suitable vector. This means that gene transfer among living organisms is no longer limited by the traditional boundary such as a species or a genus. The accomplishments in plant genetic engineering in the past decade have had tremendous impacts on agricultural production and their final effects may exceed people's imagination. This article is directed to explain the transgenic approaches applied in the filed of plant protection, with special emphases on generating resistance to insects, herbicides, abiotic stress, fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes. It is not intended to make an exhausting literature compilation, but the general principles and strategies used in these areas are well addressed and their future perspectives are discussed. Moreover, current status of commercialization of transgenic plants in U.S.A. is summarized. Applications of transgenic approach for plant protection in Mainland China are also analyzed. Finally, current situations, including the major accomplishments and obstacles, in using transgenic approaches for plant protection in Taiwan are also reviewed. |
