英文摘要 | This research examines the relationships between perceived parental rejection and parenting inconsistency and children's knowledge of social rules. A total of 336 fourth, fifth, and sixth graders drawn from three elementary schools in Taipei County of Taiwan served as subjects. Research variables include Paternal Rejection (PR), Maternal Rejection (MR), Paternal Parenting Inconsistency (PPI), Maternal Parenting Inconsistency (MPI), and Self-Orientation Social Rules Knowledge (SSRK). The Chinese version of Children's Report of Parental Behavior Inventory (CCRPBI) is used to measure PR, MR, PPI, and MPI. The Understanding Interpersonal Relationship Scale (UIRS) is used to measure SSRK. Data analysis includes descriptive analysis, simple regression, and multiple regression. The results indicate that (a) the scores of all research variables are normally distributed, (b)subjects' PR, MR, PPI, MPI are all positively associated with SSRK, and (c) aobut 16% of SSRK can be predicted by MR and PPI. Two models including the internal wording model and the relational schema model are used to explain the findings. Limitations and recommendations regarding cause-effect explanation, generalizability, children's gender, and children's age are discussed. |
