中文摘要 | 本文的主要目的係在說明;作者為什麼要撰寫《知識與行動》一書,以 及這本書在社會科學及通識教育上的可能應用。該書首先析論:當西方科學哲學 主流由邏輯實證論轉向科學實在論後,對社會科學所具有的涵意;倘若社會科學 工作者不瞭解此種思潮的轉變,盲目套用西方社會科學的研究典範,終將面臨「學 術實踐主體性喪失」的問題。後半部先說明作者如何以此一理論模式為基礎,用 「結構主義」的方法,分析「道、儒、法、兵」的文化傳統;最後本文並舉山一 些例子,說明如何以本書的觀點,在華人社會中從事社會科學研究。 |
英文摘要 | This article was aimed to explain the author's reason for writing hisbook "Knowledge and Action" and the applicability of that book in socialscience and liberal education. The book consists of two parts, the first parkdiscusses the change of Western philosophy of science from logicalpositivism to scientific realism and its implications for social scientists innon-Western society. Following fashionable research paradigm of Westernsocial without a fully awareness about that change may lead to the loss ofone's academic identity. The second part describes how he developed themodel of "Face and Favor" on the basis of realism, and how he analysis theChinese cultural tradition of Confucianism, Legalism and Martial school bythe method of structuralism with a reference to that model. Finally, thisarticle also provides some examples for illustrating how to conduct socialresearch in Chinese social by using the conceptual framework presented inthat book. |
