中文摘要 | 因為小波係數高頻部份的灰階統計圖可被視作廣義高斯分怖,所以經過離散小波 轉換之後,可利用純量量化器來達成較佳的影像壓縮結果之目的。我們試著去求出此純量量 化誤差的廣域最小值。在最佳化的過程中,我們發現此量化器亦滿足垂直定理與不偏移特性。 另外,我們觀察到誤差訊號能量就等於輸出與輸入訊號能量之差。最後,我們提出兩種運算 法則,切線法與直接搜尋法,以求出此誤差的廣域最小值。 |
英文摘要 | Since the histograms of the wavelet coefficients under higher frequencies have been modelled as generalized Gaussian distributed, it was the purpose of this study to apply scalar quantization followed by Discrete Wavelet Transform to image compression. The quantization error of discrete wavelet coefficients generated by scalar quantization can be globally minimized. The orthogonal principle and unbiasness property of the quantizer are sustained. It is observed that the energy of the error signal is equivalent to the difference between the input energy and output energy Two algorithms, the secant and direct search methods, are proposed to obtain the global minimum. The convergence condition and the order of the secant method are also addressed. |
