英文摘要 | Based on Chapman's approach, a two and one-half dimensional method used to study vertical hydrodynamic forces and motions on a three dimensional slender body with forward speed is reviewed. The governing equations are derived along characteristic lines. The forward speed effects are incorporated into the free surface and the body surface conditions. The relaxed radiation condition with a numerical correcting term introduced by Yamasaki and Fujino is imposed on the open boundaries. The diagonal and cross-coupling added mass and damping of heave and pitch of a Wigley and a Series 60 model are presented. Then the wave exciting forces of a high speed fishing boat and a submerged spheroid running in waves are computed. Finally the vertical motions of a Series 60 and a high speed fishing boat with forward speed in waves are shown. The hydrodynamic coefficients, wave exciting forces and vertical motions computed using the present two and one-half dimensional method compare nicely with the experimental data reported by others. |
