英文摘要 | Electronic commerce (EC) is the cutting edge for today's business and modem management. EC is a methodology that drives the needs of organizations, merchants, and consumers to reduce costs while improving the quality of goods and services and increasing the delivery time. EC uses computer networks (world wide web in many of cases) to access and retrieve information in supporting decision making. The number of people accessing the World Wide Web is almost 100 million by the end of 1998 and 320 million by 2002. Today, more than 10 million people are purchasing goods and services online in the United States. By 2002. this number will over 47 million. In this paper, we address the prospects of EC and discuss the trends of electronic commerce especially in retailing, compare the current usage between Taiwan and U.S.. Finally the future research and comments about the EC will be given. |
