| 英文摘要 | The main purpose of T-O-M (Therm-O-Matic) is for finding surface defects at the surface of a billet, and to mark it for grinding off the defects to enhance product quality. The principle is described as following: An current at billet surface is induced when a billet passes an HF coil, A surface defect then distorts the path of the current. This leads to local temperature increase. Four IR scanners keep detecting the temperature profile at the billet surface. After calculation and comparison, it can recognize where the defect exists. Then a marking system mark the defect by spreading paint on the defect. The main parts of a T-O-M system includes a billet position and dimension measurement system, a transport supervision system, a moistening system, a high frequency induction heating system, a defect detection system, and a defect marking system. This article will give description to the detection principles, and introduce the functions of the main parts, including operation notes. |
