英文摘要 | Hydrofoils are frequently used in marine vessels for hydrodynamic purpose. The profile shape of hydrofoils plays an import role in determining the hydrodynamic characteristics of hydrofoils. Different from the potential approach, which can only predict the lift coefficient of different section shapes before stall, the viscous approach using RANS computation can also provide the drag coefficient and the stall angle of section shapes for hydrofoils as well. Good agreements are between the measurements and the proposed numerical computations. However, due to the applied turbulence model the drag and the stall angle are somewhat overpredicted. |
