英文摘要 | This research use structured natural observation to record the staying time of visitors in front of animal display sites. Try to explore if the length of stay among three types of display which are fence, glass viewing window and trench are different. Further, the length of stay affected by the characteristics of animals and en- vironment discussed. The result shows about 80% of ivitors, passing animal display sites, stayed to watch exhibit. The average length of staying is 46.6 seconds. The length of staying in front of glass viewlng window are much shorter, and those of fence and trench are not significantly different. The primates are more popular than that carnivores. The more the numbers of animals displayed, the longer the people stay to wathc. The activities of displays animals have direct effects on length of watching time of visitors. The environment, including weather and the surrounging people, has nothing to do with the length of stay. |
