中文摘要 | 本文提出衛星直播電視節目使用之多語系同步字幕疊加系統,使得一個由衛星轉 播的電視節目可同時提供多種不同語系的同步字幕給收視者收看,並由收視者依其所能閱讀 的語文選擇其所需要之字幕顯示於電視畫面上,以幫助收視者瞭解節目內容。為了提供多語 系字幕的同步疊如能力、本系統利用 NTSC 電視掃描線之垂直遮沒區間來進行字幕內碼傳送 ,並由接收端將內碼轉換成字型疊加於畫面上。 字幕與影片內容問的同步是以 SMPTE 時間 碼 (time code) 當做參考信號。 由於要播放之影片在其過帶之時都需要先行記錄時間碼, 因此可先依據時間碼將節目內容編輯成各語系文字檔。當影片信號由地表發射站上鏈至直播 衛星時,信號控制電腦依據時間碼來讀取各語系文字檔內之字碼並將其插入垂直遮沒區間內 ,於是影片內容與字幕即可達到同步。由於同步問題是在發射端處解決,地表接收站就不再 需要用人工方式疊加字幕,更提高了系統的實用性。本系統測試時使用中文字幕.測試結果 證實影片內容與字幕可達到同步並且字幕疊加時並不影響影片畫質,同時系統亦可提供字幕 顏色及疊加位置設定等附加功能。 |
英文摘要 | This paper proposes a caption-superimposing system design for satellite direct broadcasting programs. The system is capable of providing multiple languages and one language can be chosen for the ground receiving station according to the language used in that area. The function is achieved by inserting caption codes into the vertical blanking intervals of television scan lines of the NTSC system when a program is being transmitted. At the receiving end, the caption code is converted to text, and then the text is superimposed on the screen with video. The synchronization between text and talk is achieved in a rewind check process. In this process, the SMPTE time code of the video tape is a recorded. Taking the SMPTE time code as a reference, text files containing caption codes of different languages of the program are edited. As the program is uplinked to a satellite, a computer reads the pre-edited text files and controls the caption inserting process according to the SMPTE time code. This function solves all the problems due to the artificial-superimposing process at the receiving end. The system has been designed and tested. The results validates all the design functions including multiple languages caption superimposing, caption color selection, and caption position setting. |
