英文摘要 | To understand the metallurgical and manufacturing characteristics of Li-ion battery's case, a new model Li-ion battery with aluminum housing was sectioned and analyzed in this study. The identification of the welding process for hermetic sealing was also conducted. The experimental results showed that the material of the battery housing is non-heat treatable A3003 aluminum alloy with excellent formability, weldability and good corrosion resistance. It could be deep drawn easily to specific size. the welding process for the cover of battery was identified as laser welding with low heat input. It was believed that low power pulsed Nd:YAG laser was used for hermetic sealing of the battery. |
