英文摘要 | A self-repairing composite is a material capable of recovering by itself after damage. Repairing reagents are normally loaded in microspheres or hollow microfibers which are embedded in a composite. When the composite is stressed and leads to local microcracks, the microspheres or microfibers are broken at the same time and reagents are subsequently released to repair the microcracks. This article introduces the applications of such smart composites and its repairing mechanism. |
